Murray Hill, New Jersey, U.S., January 29, 2008 – Pharmaceutical and specialty chemical manufacturers who need to make increasingly advanced, higher quality products now have a supplier who can design and deliver cost-effective solutions to address their most stringent operational needs.
Linde North America, a member of The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company, has an expanded geographic footprint and engineering capability that enables us to help manufacturers improve product quality, efficiency and yield.
“Linde’s understanding of pharmaceutical and specialty chemical’s strict manufacturing requirements gives customers the expert resource they need as they look for ways to improve fluid temperature control or boost environmental compliance for air and water emissions,” said Leslie Waller, chemicals segment manager, Linde North America.
Linde offers customers the gases and technological solutions they need to enhance their laboratory and manufacturing processes. These include technologies for applications such as inerting, purging, pH control, reaction cooling and volatile organic emission control.
Visit Linde in booth #703 at InformexUSA in New Orleans’ Morial Convention Center January 29-Feb 1 to discuss in more detail how these capabilities can benefit pharmaceutical and specialty chemical manufacturers.
For example, the Linde CUMULUS® Fluid Temperature Control technology provides fast and accurate cooling of heat transfer fluids through an indirect application of liquid nitrogen, which regulates temperatures within +/- 1ºC .
“The CUMULUS technology’s precise low-temperature control results in improved reaction selectivity, easy repeatability, higher quality and yield. The system’s compact design footprint also allows easy retrofit installation and repositioning to other areas of the plant when the process changes,” Waller said.
For air treatment needs, the Linde CIRRUS® Vapor Emission Control system provides a flexible, compact and efficient option for reducing volatile organic compounds.
“The CIRRUS technology can also help manufacturers recover valuable solvents for reuse. And both the CUMULUS and CIRRUS technologies allow nitrogen gas effluent to be reused for purging or inerting throughout the plants,” Waller said.
The Linde Group is a world-leading gases and engineering company with more than 50,000 employees working in around 100 countries worldwide. Following the acquisition of The BOC Group plc, the company has gases and engineering sales of approximately 12 billion euros per annum. The strategy of The Linde Group is geared towards earnings-based growth and focuses on the expansion of its international business with forward-looking products and services.
